December 26, 2010 started out like all previous Boxing Days. We all awoke from our food and beverage comas, vowed never to over-indulge like we had - ever again, and cleaned up the house. I did my usual morning run with Pyro, while SuperHero stacked the dishwasher and made us some very strong tea, waffles and eggs.

Later in afternoon I got on Twitter and noticed my beloved Mary "Teena Marie" Brockert was trending worldwide. OMG! there goes those cruel and unusual punishment Twitter-death rumors again. However, this time something deep within my heart didn't feel right, so after a few Skype calls and SMS Text-messages, what initially seemed to be a cruel hoax was fading into black... our beloved Lady Tee had in fact slipped away.

Lady Tee's mini-me, the adorable Alia Rose had just celebrated her 19th Birthday on Christmas day. As per usual the extremely proud Mama Tee took to social media to share and reminisce about her labor and delivery, and deep love for her little baby girl - they were poster children of the Milk N' Honey duo. So, it was a cruel twist of fate that little Honey made the devastating discovery that her precious Mama, had passed away. Alia, braver than most grown-ups twice her age, notified family members, friends, and the authorities, then stood watch over her mother's remains until the Calvary arrived .

December 31, 2010: My emotions are so very raw and palpable. I'm in Hawaii with my Beloved creating memories, but every time we hear Portuguese Love, Fire and Desire, Square Biz, or Lovergirl, I'm reduced to a puddle. So, please take a moment, and send out some healing vibrations, and positive thoughts of love and courage to sweet Alia Rose today.

My Beloved has urged me to share with you a glimpse of the privilege I was given - to have had front row seats for all of Lady Tee's performances.
